RICHARD ANDERSON has over 20 years experience at senior management level in SME and multi-national companies in both consumer and industrial markets.  He has an engineering degree from Loughborough, an MBA from Harvard and a Finance and Accounting Diploma.  He has personal experience of completing numerous business sales, business valuations and othe transactions involving owner-managed businesses.

He started his career with 3i investing in SMEs in the Midlands. Following 2 years in the USA, studying for his MBA, he worked in increasingly senior roles in the fmcg sector, latterly with Mars Inc. In 1994, as Marketing Director of Partco, he contributed to its successful flotation. In 1997, he became CEO of Independent Parts Group, a small cap PLC. Following the sale of IPG, from 1998 to 2002, he formed and led an MBI in the industrial distribution sector.

In 2003, he left business management to begin working as an adviser assisting small and medium sized businesses with a range of transactions including business sales, business valuations and debt and equity fund raising.  Since then he has been lead adviser on numerous successful transactions for a wide range of businesses.  In 2006 he co-founded Anderson Cooper Ltd and this company became Anderson Shaw Corporate Finance Ltd in November 2009 when one of the founders left the business.
