Established 20+ years ago, this award-winning consultancy specialises in performance improvement through people in larger organisations across public and private sectors. Public sector cut-backs reversed growth which saw fees peaking at £5M a few years ago. After successfully reengineering the business, 2 of the 3 owners wished to retire.
Initially, we were asked to sell the business as a whole but then the non-retiring shareholder decided that he would like to buy the business and it was agreed by all 3 shareholders that Anderson Shaw should assist him in achieving this objective.
The Team comprised our client, 2 senior consultants and an external investor who came in as Chairman.
Our role was to negotiate the deal, which was reasonably complex, including a performance-related element and to project manage the legal stages. Along the way, we were able to assist our client in keeping his team fully informed and involved in the process.
The new Team is excited at the prospects for the business which has been reinvigorated as a result of the change in ownership.
