This business was established nearly 15 years ago by a husband and wife team who have continued to run the business to today, but are now seeking to take on new business challenges in a different environment.

The Company is a specialist used car dealer based in the Midlands and provides quality used cars together with a first class customer service and very competitive pricing.

The business enjoys an impressive 5 Star review rating on AutoTrader as well as a similarly glowing review status on Google, Facebook and the like and has developed a significant customer base that is very loyal with a strong customer retention rate.

The Company also provides Vehicle servicing, repair and MOT testing facilities.

The premises, which are leased, occupy a plot of some 20,000 sq. ft, comprising 2 x forecourts, 2 x workshops and a valeting bay. The forecourts can hold up to 100 vehicles. There is also a detached 3 bed residential house that the current owners occupy. The location is highly desirable, close to the M6 motorway, many other arterial routes and major towns and cities.

In short, this is a ready-made rare opportunity to own a turnkey business with all of the infrastructure already in place and ready to go. The current directors are happy (if required) to stay on in an advisory capacity for up to 12 months to make the transition for the new owner more straightforward.

In the current year, sales had been expected to be £900k, generating an adjusted EBITDA of £70k.  The Balance Sheet at the last year end had Net Assets of c £12k on a debt free, cash free basis.

The current UK-wide lockdown due to the COVID-19 virus will negatively impact the current year results; however the directors are confident that business will return to steady state very quickly once the restrictions are relaxed.

The Guide Price for 100% of the shares is £175,000.

The business will be sold debt free, cash free albeit the purchaser will be expected to purchase the surplus cash in the balance sheet at completion. The stock of cars in situ at the point of the sale of the Company will be available for separate purchase by the Acquirer at cost, or by negotiation.

  • Not apply to any of the Information which is published or otherwise becomes part of the public domain through no fault of the Recipient.
  • Not apply to any of the Information which is already known to the Recipient.

In most cases, if the Vendor approves the release of the Information to you, you will be asked to sign a separate, longer form, Non-Disclosure Agreement which will replace this Agreement.
