Peter purchased Anderson Shaw from Richard Anderson in January 2018.  Prior to joining Anderson Shaw in 2017 as an Associate, Peter spent over 13 years in finance and senior roles in SME businesses and then 17 years running his own business.  He was Group FD for the UK arm of Europe’s’ largest debt collection business, Intrum Justitia plc, between 1991 and 1996 going on to be the General Manager for the UK Consumer business.  He set up his own credit management services business in 1998 and ran that successfully until its sale in 2015.  Peter has a Maths and Chemistry degree from the University of East Anglia and is a Chartered Accountant.  

Prior to establishing Anderson Shaw in 2006 Richard had gained over 20 years experience at senior management level in SME and multi-national companies in both consumer and industrial markets.  In 1997 he was appointed CEO of a ‘small cap’ manufacturing PLC.  Richard has personal experience of completing numerous business sales, acquisitions, valuations and other transactions involving owner-managed businesses.  He has an Engineering degree from Loughborough, an MBA from Harvard and a Finance and Accounting Diploma.  Richard sold Anderson Shaw to Peter Wilson in January 2018 and now operates on a consultancy basis on a long term contract.

Prior to joining Anderson Shaw in 2012, Chris had gained 12 years experience, primarily in finance roles in the automotive industry followed by 6 years experience running his own business in the recruitment sector.  He started his career with Ford, ultimately becoming FD of the Sales Company in Denmark before joining the senior management team at Aston Martin.  In 2005 he acquired a recruitment agency which in 2012, after 6 years successful trading, he sold.  Chris has an Economics and Philosophy degree from Oxford University and an MBA from Warwick University.

Prior to joining Anderson Shaw in 2021, Jon operated his own business consultancy from 2006 onwards providing a range of services to owner managed business as a ‘portfolio manager’. He originally trained in ITT/STC and worked primarily in manufacturing businesses until 2006. Jon has a degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia and has been a CIMA member since 1987. 

Peter has been working as a business mentor and marketing advisor since 2009 using his experience to advise SME business owners considering the sale of their business. As a part-time Marketing Director with The Marketing Centre he has helped many high growth SMEs to develop their internal marketing capability. Peter also supports business owners through his role as Programme Tutor with the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme run by Aston Business School. Prior to joining Anderson Shaw in 2021 Peter held a number of senior positions within the Lloyds Banking Group. Peter has a degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Institute of Marketing.

Simon started with Anderson Shaw in 2020; prior to that he has had varied positions in Data Management and Analysis, HR, Customer Service, Credit Management, Engineering support services, Sales, Training and Compliance. Simon has a degree in Business Studies from Coventry University.
