Peter purchased Anderson Shaw from Richard Anderson in January 2018.  Prior to joining Anderson Shaw in 2017 as an Associate, Peter spent over 13 years in finance and senior roles in SME businesses and then 17 years running his own business.  He was Group FD for the UK arm of Europe’s’ largest debt collection business, Intrum Justitia plc, between 1991 and 1996 going on to be the General Manager for the UK Consumer business.  He set up his own credit management services business in 1998 and ran that successfully until its sale in 2015.  Peter has a Maths and Chemistry degree from the University of East Anglia and is a Chartered Accountant.  

Peter has been working as a business mentor and marketing advisor since 2009 using his experience to advise SME business owners considering the sale of their business. As a part-time Marketing Director with The Marketing Centre he has helped many high growth SMEs to develop their internal marketing capability. Peter also supports business owners through his role as Programme Tutor with the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme run by Aston Business School. Prior to joining Anderson Shaw in 2021 Peter held a number of senior positions within the Lloyds Banking Group. Peter has a degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Institute of Marketing.

Joel has over a decade of funding and financial advisory experience across Wales & the South West, with corporate deal-making and restructuring roles in banking at HSBC, as well as time in industry as a manufacturing Finance Director. Joel advises on a broad range of matters such as acquisition and disposal advisory, business valuations, capital raising and outsourced financial advisory.

Sarah works with both buyers and sellers, and supports the team to manage transactions.
